Pressure-cook 1 cup toor dal with ½ tsp SoilRoots Turmeric Powder and water until soft. Mash the dal and add salt and a little jaggery. Finish with a tempering of ghee, cumin and asafoetida. Serve hot with steamed rice and ghee.
